Treasuries

This bright colourful one I made as inspiration for my new felt bouquets, I'll show you a sneek peek over the weekend, it includes some of the colours above. I love this pink and lemon one. I haven't made a treasury East yet, it sort of looses it's apeal if you can just do them whenever you like. Here is a few I'm featured in or have created.

New Bouquets

A New Adventure for Sunweeds

Something new for Sunweeds these felt flower bouquets... I've be toying with the idea for a while now. I love working with felt and the hand sewing which I manage to fit in around the girls active social lives. Making the button flower bouquets I am constantly asked for aqua buttons to be included... which are so hard to find. The felt comes in a huge variety of colours and I am starting a new range of felt and buttons mixed together. These felt bouquets will be theme inspired as are the button only ones. Babies, Birthdays, Weddings etc.

Meeting Dusters at Daylesford makers market

I went and checked out the Daylesford Makers market on Saturday, it was a beautiful country day and the streets were packed with coffee drinkers, tourists and shoppers. I hadn't been to the market before.. it always seemed to be on when i was busy with other things. The stalls looked great and there was lots to choose from, the lighting in the main hall was terrible though, I imagine really dissapointing for some sellers, and definitely shocking for amatuer photographers like me :(. The best thing though was to be very excited about meeting some Dusters in the flesh. I have never met any before it's like Sunweeds is out of the hide at home business closet. I'm so glad I got up the courage to just go up and introduce myself and I'm glad they knew who I was too! and not say Sunweeds? WHO? I met Sue from Hawthorne Cottage who blogs here with her wool creations and Marilyn from Missy mao mao with her well known bags who blogs here Celeste from Little Waltze and her range of resin, kimono jewellery blogs here
Pia fom Giant shoots
with her contribution to keeping the enviroment green, hemp totes and t-shirts
Michelle from Crayon chick with her unbelievable crochet jewellery and blogs here It was wonderful to meet them all and I'm looking forward to hearing how they went on market day, I might join in with my own stall soon.

The Birthday Girl

Penny loved her party, the weather was nice and there was lots of playing. Just a small family party but very exciting when her cousin Issy comes to visit. Some of the party decorations above, Happy Birthday bunting I made last year, I only noticed when I hung it that I forgot to sew the button on top of the "I" wondering if I did that on the others I sold... will have to look back on some photo's to check. Rather than have balloons and decorations everywhere our cathedral ceilings work great with a huge bunch of balloons cascading down with streamers and stars. Pink and white decorations as requested by miss now 3yrs, pictured in her new party out fit. The felt crowns were a success, and are now in the dress up box ready for the next teddy party, I think i might have to make a teddy sized crown too. She didn't mind what kind of cake she had as long as there was cream involved.
